Christmas Day

Santa arrived bringing a sled for Lizzy and a bike for Katherine.  Too bad there is no snow and Katherine must grow!  But the girls were very excited and also received many wonderful gifts from Granny and Grandad, Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie Rosie and Dan, Patti and John, Great Grandma Ginny, and Auntie Di.

We had a wonderful Christmas brunch at the Hilton in Berlin.  We shared our table with our Aussie friends who are in Berlin until mid-January, so the girls had a great time playing together. Everyone ate wonderful food, like venison ravioli  salmon and halibut, along with a chocolate fountain and many chocolate Lindt Santas that somehow ended up on our table...

After dinner, we headed to a Christmas market and Lizzy rode one of the pop-up carnival rides with Daddy.  Mommy was surprised to see them swaying high up in the air on a ferris wheel.  Lizzy loved it, of course.

All in all, it was a fun day and it was wonderful to spend it with family.
