Lizzy turns 4

Making Hello Kitty cupcakes to take into kita
 Anxiously waiting to open presents.
 Sharing birthday hats
 More Lego
A blow-up globe from Auntie Rosie.  Educational, but with potential for excitement...
 Opening cards is serious work
 More??

The Three Little Pigs from Granny and Grandad
Blowing out her 4 candles

We celebrated Lizzy's birthday today.  First, she got the birthday song in the morning.  Then, she took cupcakes to school where she got the song and a candle and cake.  Then home, for more song, candles and cake and presents.  The another birthday song from Grandma and Grandpa on Skype.  And we have a joint friend party planned for Sunday.  Hopefully, they won't remember this year's drawn-out birthday celebration...

Katherine turns 2

Making the birthday cake with Granny.

 Just blew out two candles.
 Yummy.
A noisy kazoo from Auntie Rosie.  Thanks, we'll bring that when we come to stay at your place.
Must try on new socks immediately.
Lizzy checking out the instructions for the new Lego House.
We celebrated Katherine's birthday at home with Granny and Granddad, presents and cake.  Katherine really loved being the birthday girl and wearing the birthday hat.  She ate plenty of cake and overall had a wonderful day.  Thank you to everyone for the well-wishes.

Easter 2012

We dyed eggs for the first time and they loved it.  I think we only broke about 4/12 during the dyeing process...

We headed down to Nuremberg for the long Easter weekend and stayed in a youth hostel the night before Easter.  We were in a family room which had 3 bunk beds.  Lizzy and Daddy each slept on the top of a bunk bed and Mommy and Katherine slept in one bed on the bottom.  The Easter bunny came in the night and filled up the girls' baskets.

The next day we went to the castle in Nuremberg and explored.

Then, we happily discovered Playmobil Park and spent about 5 hours there.  Amazing indoor and outdoor play park for children.  Somehow made it through the day there with no photos.

No training wheels!

Daddy took off Lizzy's training wheels.
